Overview
The role of a Night Support Worker is an incredibly rewarding one and one that involves supporting adults on a person-centered basis to live independently in their own apartments. Youll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of the people you support, helping them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
At the heart of this role are the values of compassion, empathy, and respect. You will be working with vulnerable individuals who may require different levels of support, including prompting medication, check-ins, carrying out domestic tasks and lone working. It will be your responsibility to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the tenants while ensuring that they are able to maintain their independence and make their own choices.
As a Night Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with tenants and their families. You will be working as part of a dedicated team of professionals and will have access to ongoing training and development to help you grow in your role.
Responsibilities
* Provide person-centered support to adults living in their own apartments.
* Prompt medication as required and conduct regular check-ins.
* Carry out domestic tasks while promoting independence and safety.
* Work independently during night shifts and in collaboration with a professional team.
* Create a safe and comfortable living environment and respect tenants’ choices.
* Build positive relationships with tenants and their families.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
