The Role
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to support our team based in Middlesbrough. You will manage the day to day running of the Middlesbrough Office, under the guidance of the Director of Youth Work, being the first point of contact for visitors – youth work professionals, young people and parents.
The role requires someone with excellent communication skills, self-motivated, is able to manage a full and varied workload as no two days will be the same. We are looking for someone who can use their own initiative, contribute ideas and get things done.
You will be experienced, flexible to change, eager to learn and undertake relevant training when required, have good interpersonal skills, work in a team, and be friendly and approachable.
You will work alongside the staff team and be responsible for:
* Providing administration support for organisational programmes, implementing and maintaining procedures and systems, including financial records.
* Data inputting, creating and managing files, computerised and physical.
* Liaising with Building Management maintaining a safe, secure, and pleasant work environment.
* Organising events, training and meetings.
* Organise and liaise with contracted IT/Health and Safety consultants to maintain effective IT systems and procedures.
* Supporting and being proactive with social media and website updates.
The candidate should hold at least three years’ administration experience, GCSE English and Maths and a qualification in administration, business or information technology.
This is a part time permanent office based post working Monday to Friday. The hours and days across the week are negotiable. Occasional out of hours’ work may be required.
