Key Responsibilities
* To support team deliverables that utilise yourexpertiseto ensuresuccessful outcomes across team members and collaborating teams
* Provide clear and transparent workobjectives,milestonesand success metrics in your area of expertise to oversee and co-ordinate successful team outcomes.
* Collaborate closely with other teams to manage interdependencies,risksand resourcing to support portfolio delivery.
* Demonstrate effective diversity and inclusive team management within their team and the wider organisation.
Key Outputs and Deliverables
* Setting-upand leading high-performingteambased on effective resourcemanagementongoing support and professional development.
* Oversee the implementation of a government energy support schemeand in particular,the compliance of scheme participants with the applicable mandatory requirements.In the event ofmaterial compliance breaches, oversee enforcement action where necessary.
* Manage effective and inclusive team resourcing and staff onboarding through closeengagement with relevant Deputy Director, Workstream Managers, Heads of Professions, PDLs and HR Staffers to ensurebesttalent match to work needs.
* Provideexpert guidance to help team members deliver, by building supportive, inclusive team environment based on trust-based relationships,transparencyand inclusivity. Provide expert guidance and solutions to complex problems.
* Takes ownership for own and team members professional development by:
* Identifyingyour own continued professional development.
* Providing ongoing coaching and identification of development opportunities.
* Provide advice and support for colleagues who are pursuing professional qualifications.
* Represent Ofgem with external stakeholders, such asthe companies being investigated, as well as developing links internally with other teams across Ofgem.
Person specification

Essential Criteria:
* Proven ability to motivate and lead a team (or equivalent)operatingin a matrix working environment, managing multipleprioritiesand delivering against deadlines [Lead criteria].
* Experience of delivering social and environmental schemesin accordance withlegislative requirements
* Experience of working in a complex environment, acting as an internal expert advising and challenging senior leaders on strategic and operational performance related matters.
* Proven aptitude for leadership, e.g. building, and developing teams to deliver successfuloutcomes.
* Extensive experience working collaboratively with diverse colleagues
* Develops,plansand delivers work outcomes, including clear and transparent workobjectives,milestonesand success metrics.
* Ability to build effective relationships and successfully influence challenginginternal andexternal stakeholders, including in high pressure situations.
