Room Leader | Full Time | 40 Hours Per Week
Salary: £27,955.20 + Qualification Bonus: We value the dedication and expertise of our Level 3 Practitioners. To show our appreciation for their (and hopefully your) hard work and commitment, we’re excited to offer a £400 Qualification Recognition bonus to all our Level 3 Practitioners across all our Nurseries.
This bonus will be paid after just 6 months of service, making it the perfect time to join our team and be recognized for your qualifications and contributions. (based on a 40hr working week, bonus will be pro-rota for part time staff)
Brimpton House is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Room Leader to join the team and inspire creativity and excellence every day. This position is based in our toddler room for children aged 2 to 2.5 years.
The room has up to 9 children daily, where we follow individual interests and create a warm, home-like atmosphere. As Room Leader, you will collaborate closely with other rooms to ensure smooth and positive transitions across the setting, contributing to a nurturing and welcoming environment for all.

Our nursery is open from 8:00am - 18:00pm and we would require you to be able to work varied shift patterns between those times.
Room Leader duties and responsibilities*:

* Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
\t
* Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
\t
* Assist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest quality
\t
* Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency
\t
* Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff
\t
* Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file
\t
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
\t
* Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met

Room Leader requirement and skills:
\t
* Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
\t
* Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years - Essential
\t
* Over 6 months’ experience working in a senior position - Desirable
\t
* Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
\t
* Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
\t
* Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential
