Location: Peterborough

Salary: £35,000–£38,000 basic

The Opportunity

Anne Corder Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing business within the electronics sector, supporting customers across commercial and industrial markets.

With ambitious growth plans over the next 2–3 years, this is a key hire within the commercial team and a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to play a pivotal role in scaling a business.

The Role

This is a proactive new business development role, focused on identifying, engaging, and converting new customers within target sectors.

You’ll take full ownership of your pipeline from initial outreach through to closing deals working closely with internal teams to align sales activity with wider commercial strategy.

This role would suit someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives on building relationships, and is motivated by achieving and exceeding targets.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

· Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets

· Conduct market research to uncover trends and growth areas

· Generate leads through outbound activity, networking, and research

· Build strong relationships with new clients and key stakeholders

· Understand customer needs and present tailored product solutions

· Deliver compelling proposals and commercial offers

· Attend client meetings to progress opportunities

· Manage and maintain a structured sales pipeline via CRM

· Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline reporting

· Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and outreach activity

· Attend industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows

· Achieve revenue targets, including significant new business generation in year one

About You

· 2 + years’ experience in B2B sales or business development

· Proven ability to win new business and build relationships

· Strong track record of hitting revenue targets

· Confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills

· Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own pipeline

· Comfortable working in a smaller, collaborative team

· Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

· Experience within technical product sales

· Engineering or technical background

· Understanding of industrial or commercial markets
