Wilkins Food Harlow Ltd is a growing food distribution business supplying independent retailers, wholesalers, and cash & carry operators across the region. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales & Account Manager to help drive new business while developing strong relationships with our existing customers.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being out in the field, meeting customers face-to-face, and actively growing sales.
Key Responsibilities
* Generating new business opportunities and leads
* Prospecting independent retailers, convenience stores, wholesalers, and cash & carries
* Visiting customers regularly to build relationships and secure orders
* Managing and developing existing accounts to increase revenue and retention
* Identifying opportunities to introduce new products and expand ranges
* Negotiating pricing and commercial agreements
* Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity
* Working closely with the internal team to ensure excellent customer service
* Representing the company professionally in the marketplace
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management
* Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to generating new business
* Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
* Strong organisation and follow-up skills
* Full UK driving licence
Experience within food, FMCG, wholesale, or retail sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
