An opportunity to join an established and rapidly expanding organisation in the NE of England as a CI Engineer. This role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility. You will have a strong background in engineering principles, lean manufacturing, and quality control methodologies as well as contributing to cultural change. Principal responsibilities Analyse current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement lean manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute process improvement projects and initiatives. Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to measure performance and track improvement outcomes. Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and training sessions for team members. Develop and maintain documentation related to process improvements, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of improvement initiatives. Support the implementation of quality control measures to ensure products meet industry standards and customer expectations. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in continuous improvement and manufacturing. Qualifications, Skills and Experience. Proven experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or process engineering, preferably in a fabrication or machining environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies. Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO) is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Project management experience is desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
