Air Freight Business Development Manager - China Trade Lanes
Location: UK (Hybrid/Remote options available)

A global freight forwarding organisation is seeking an experienced Air Freight Business Development Manager to develop and grow its China trade lanes. This is a senior commercial role focused on driving new business, strengthening carrier relationships, and expanding air freight volumes between China and the UK/Europe.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and grow air freight business focused on China import and export trade lanes
* Identify, target, and secure new customers across key verticals
* Manage and grow existing strategic accounts
* Build strong relationships with airlines, overseas partners, and agents in China
* Work closely with operations teams to ensure service excellence
* Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements
* Represent the business at industry events and client meetings
Requirements
* Proven experience in air freight business development / sales within freight forwarding
* Strong knowledge of China trade lanes (import & export)
* Existing customer portfolio highly desirable
* Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) - essential
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills
* Self-motivated, target-driven and relationship-focused
