Are you a motivated and customer-focused individual seeking a fulfilling part-time opportunity where your efforts directly contribute to a worthy cause? DEBRA, the charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by the rare and painful skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), is looking for a dedicated Assistant Shop Manager to join our vibrant team in Daventry. This permanent, part-time position offers a chance to make a real difference while engaging in a dynamic and hands-on work environment.

* Contract: Permanent
* Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week, working 3 days out of 7
* Pay: £12.71 per hour
* Salary: £13,879.32 per annum

What You’ll Be Doing: A Blend of Hands-On Management and Team Support
This is a dynamic role that requires both manual dexterity and strong interpersonal skills. You will work closely with the Shop Manager, playing a crucial role in the daily success of the shop. Your responsibilities will include:
* Hands-on Processing and Presentation: Actively sorting, lifting, carrying, and pricing donated items, including clothing, books, and homeware. You will also be responsible for creating visually appealing window and in-store displays, which involves physical arrangement and movement of merchandise.
* Exceptional Customer Engagement: Providing a warm and welcoming shopping experience for all customers, offering assistance, and building positive relationships.
* Maintaining Shop Standards: Ensuring the shop floor is clean, tidy, and well-organised, which may involve some light physical tasks.
* Stock Management with Physical Involvement: Actively managing stock levels, which includes receiving, moving, and organising donations within storage areas.
* Volunteer Support and Guidance: Assisting in the recruitment, training, and ongoing support of our valued team of volunteers, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
* Financial Transactions and Security: Handling financial transactions accurately and ensuring the security of the shop premises.

To thrive in this role, you will need:
* Strong teamwork and clear communication skills to collaborate effectively with the Shop Manager, colleagues, and volunteers.
* Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks and using your initiative.
* Comfort and capability to handle the physical aspects of the role, including lifting and moving stock, arranging displays, and general shop maintenance.
* A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
