Job Description
We are a growing UK-wide same-day courier and transport company providing reliable, time-critical delivery solutions to a broad range of customers. We are now looking to appoint a Business Development & Operations Manager to help drive sales growth while supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone with proven experience in the courier or transport sector who can bring commercial awareness, new ideas, and a proactive approach to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
\t•\tProactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the courier and transport sector
\t•\tBuild and maintain strong relationships with direct customers
\t•\tPrepare quotations and pricing with a clear focus on profitability
\t•\tManage the sales process from initial contact through to onboarding
Operations Support
\t•\tAssist with day-to-day operational planning and service delivery
\t•\tMonitor performance to ensure high service levels are consistently met
\t•\tResolve operational issues efficiently and professionally
\t•\tWork closely with the wider team to ensure customer requirements are met
Commercial & Strategic Input
\t•\tContribute ideas to improve sales performance and operational efficiency
\t•\tSupport business growth initiatives and longer-term planning
\t•\tHelp develop processes that support a scalable and sustainable operation
