SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Dudley, DY2 (Birmingham)
Pay Rate: £105-£115 per day
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm
A welcoming and supportive primary school in the heart of Dudley is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role involves providing tailored support to children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Speech and Language Difficulties, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusion and keen to make a meaningful difference to a child's daily school experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support, adapting activities to meet individual learning needs
* Assist with implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENDCo
* Encourage communication, focus and emotional regulation throughout the school day
* Support behaviour plans for pupils with ADHD and SEMH-related needs
* Help create a calm, positive and nurturing learning environment
Requirements
* Experience working with children with SEND, particularly Autism, ADHD or SEMH
* Confidence supporting behaviour and emotional needs within a primary school setting
* A calm, consistent and nurturing approach
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
