We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural Resources Team. In this role, you'll provide commercial support to project teams on our 7-year, c£1bn framework with Southern Water.
The successful candidate will:
* Provide commercial support, maintain commercial information, and ensure contractual compliance.
* Liaise with customers and third parties on commercial issues, including variations, claims, and additional payments.
* Support the Commercial Manager and MQS in delivering work for AMP 8 in clean and wastewater sectors.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Managing a £40m package of works and leading a team of junior QSs, mentoring their development.
* Providing financial and contractual performance forecasts to management, helping meet/exceed KPIs.
* Advising on commercial strategy to ensure opportunity conversion and profitability.
* Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks, implementing risk management policies.
* Ensuring accurate cost and value reporting, updating VCRs, forecasts, and budgets.
Qualifications and experience required:
* A relevant Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
* Proven experience managing teams in a senior commercial role, preferably in the Water sector or regulated utilities.
* Knowledge of NEC contracts and current Construction Law.
* Experience in subcontractor procurement and management, including meetings, measurement, certificates, and accruals.
* Experience aligning procurement strategies with project goals.
