The Role: We are looking for a motivated and committed Geography Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to students at KS3 and KS4. This is a temporary role with the potential to become permanent, and would suit an individual with a strong subject knowledge and a passion for making Geography relevant and inspiring. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and thought-provoking Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum. Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and implementing effective interventions. Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment where all learners feel supported. Participate in departmental planning and contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum. Liaise with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student learning and wellbeing. Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: Experience: At least 1–2 years of teaching Geography in a UK secondary school, with experience teaching to GCSE level. Qualifications: A degree in Geography or a related subject, and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Training: Sound understanding of curriculum planning, classroom management, and safeguarding. Skills: Strong communication, organisation, and a passion for geographical education. DBS Check: All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) before working, if not already registered to the update service. The cost of a DBS may be passed to the applicant.
