Support Worker

Larkfield is a beautiful 6 bedded registered care home with nursing services. CQC registered to provide accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care and treating disease, disorder, or injury. Our bedrooms are spacious and can easily be adapted to meet the need of the occupants. We have a sensory room for the individuals we support to meet their sensory needs. Staff are trained to a high standard to meet the dynamic nature of health and social care.
We are in the village of Charlwood, proud of our peaceful and idyllic setting. We are 30-minute walk of Horley Town centre, with Crawley town centre and Gatwick airport about 10-minute drive away.
We have a team comprising of nurses and health care assistants (band2 and band3) who provide 24hour care, supporting individuals with different needs such as autism, mental health and learning disability. All our activities are tailored to meet individual needs and interest.
Main duties of the job
To support people using our services in line with their individual care plan to promote as much independence as possible.
To assist with all aspects of personal care in accordance with individual's support needs.
To participate in the ongoing monitoring of the health and behaviour of people using the service.
To report and record all relevant information and report to Shift Leader any changes in the person.
To act as a keyworker for named individuals within the service.
To support an active and enjoyable lifestyle of individuals, by encouraging a range of leisure and social interests.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Care Certificate or willingness to complete within 12 weeks of starting role.
* NVQ level 2
Experience
* Experience of caring for someone, either work or family member.
* Experience of working with people with Learning Disability in a care home or day service.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £25,768 a year Incl. 5% Fringe HCAS, pa, pro rata.
