Purpose of the Role
As an Investment Managers’ Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting a dynamic team of three Investment Managers, one Investment Advisor, and two fellow IMAs. Your contribution will ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations across a diverse portfolio of discretionary, advisory, and execution-only clients.
This is a non-regulated position focused on administrative excellence, client service, and operational coordination. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining accurate client records, managing portfolio administration, and liaising with internal departments to resolve queries. Over time, we’re open to supporting your professional development through relevant industry qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide high-quality administrative support to the team, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
2. Collaborate across departments, sharing knowledge and supporting new team members through training.
3. Assist in opening and maintaining client accounts, including AML documentation and financial information collection.
4. Maintain up-to-date client records and support the production of suitability reports and investment reviews.
5. Monitor the progress of new investments and proactively resolve any issues.
6. Liaise with the Accounts department to manage cash movements and process payments.
7. Set up, manage, and close client files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
8. Ensure adherence to all relevant compliance regulations.
9. Support onboarding of new clients, ensuring all documentation is completed and processed.
10. Organise and prepare for client meetings, including logistics and refreshments.
11. Contribute to special projects such as client events and historical KYC data gathering.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
12. GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
Preferred:
13. A-Levels.
14. Industry-recognised qualifications (e.g. Investment Operations Certificate) are advantageous but not essential.
15. Previous experience in a similar role or within investment operations.
16. General understanding of the stock market and financial services.

18. Strong typing skills; ability to transcribe dictation is a plus.
19. Highly organised, numerate, and detail-oriented.
20. Able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
