ROLE: Electrical Project Manager – DNO / ICP
HOURS: Permanent – Full Time
LOCATION: Staythorpe (Hybrid)

We're looking for an Electrical Project Manager – DNO / ICP who will manage electrical construction projects from design handover through to commissioning and completion, bringing strong technical, safety and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Review project designs and ensure readiness for handover to the construction team.
2. Ensure all electrical works comply with DNO G81, BS standards, client ERs, and other relevant regulations.
3. Manage and deliver construction projects from design handover to final commissioning.
4. Develop and maintain the Programme of Works, providing weekly, monthly, and 3‑month lookahead updates.
5. Identify key risks and critical path activities to maintain project delivery timelines.
6. Oversee site safety and security, ensuring compliance with CPP, F10, and HSEQ documentation.
7. Support the HSEQ Manager in preparing RAMS, audits, and other safety documentation.
8. Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) checks, including pre‑work inspections and post‑completion sign‑offs.
9. Compile and collate test certificates, reports, and handover documentation.
10. Lead and chair technical meetings with internal teams, clients, and DNO representatives.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
11. Minimum: HNC in Electrical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
12. Experience: 5+ years in construction or electrical infrastructure projects.
13. Proven experience within a NERS (National Electricity Registration Scheme) environment.
14. Strong background in the installation or project management of electrical infrastructure up to kV.
15. In‑depth knowledge of switchgear, transformers, generators, and substations.
16. Comprehensive understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance in construction.
17. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
18. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
Desirable:
19. Experience with 3D CAD tools (e.g., Revit) and CDEGS earthing modelling software.

20. Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.
21. Strong technical problem‑solving skills and ability to resolve complex engineering challenges.
22. Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders and producing clear documentation.
23. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet project deadlines.
