A vacancy has arisen for a Facilities Assistant, the primarily responsible for the day-to-day support covering everything from building services, maintenance and contractor management.
Acting as a point of contact for facilities matters, you'll help maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant workplace.
The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with great communication skills. We're looking for someone who can take charge and has experience operating building heating, ventilation and plumbing systems, along with a working knowledge of health, safety and security practices.
The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that the estates is clean, safe and meets our service level agreements
Duties include but not limited to –
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and systems as required.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
· Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs and maintenance.
· Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status using CMMS system.
· Assist in the planning and execution of facility improvement projects.
· Day-to-day monitoring of the Helpdesk and CMMS data (PPM and Reactive works) along with the monitoring of associated services data.
· Attend daily tier meetings and report back to line managers.
· Communicate effectively with Key Line Managers, Client liaisons, field teams, and management to ensure clarity and timely execution of scheduled tasks.
· Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
· Provide the necessary support of IRIS services including, Maintenance and Minor new works provided by IRIS (either directly by IRIS or delivered by other suppliers).
· Proactively check all facilities during works for damage and report via Helpdesk for repair
· Health & Safety – as required, co-ordinate and manage IRIS personnel in the delivery of Training and competency, Toolbox Talks, daily task reporting and review H&S requirements of all service tasks.
· Co-ordinate and manage the delivery of works as detailed in the agreed Scope of Work or Service Level Agreement
· Quality control and the adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations.
· Supporting and monitoring budgets and ensuring optimal use of resources.
· Maintaining good customer relations
