Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for experienced Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our award-winning team at The Burren. The Burren is a brand-new purpose-built service, location South Bristol, providing high quality care & supporting residents with varying complex neurological, mental health & dementia care needs provided in a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole persons unique strengths and challenges, rather than just the diagnosis.
What do you need?
* Minimum of 12 months experience working in a Care Setting within the UK (essential)
* A commitment to provide high standards of housekeeping & laundry
* Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families
* Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
What hours will you work?
Week A: 3 shifts
Week B: 4 shifts
Total average hours per week: 28
What will you be doing?
* Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home
* Ensure that all bed, table and kitchen linen is laundered to a satisfactory standard when required.
* You will vacuum, polish and mop floors and ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and residents' bedrooms
* You will receive training to understand health and safety issues and the use of chemicals that we use and any equipment that you need to use
* Checking equipment is stocked, clean and ready for the next day
* Although you will not be delivering direct care to our residents, you will have a responsibility to ensure our residents are kept happy while cleaning

About Us
Cornerstone Healthcare provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.
Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.
We currently have 3 services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, & Mytchett with 2 new services set to open in Bristol and Birmingham in 2025.
