Alexander Steele are once again working with a well-established, multi-site, global food manufacturing business seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to deliver capital and infrastructure projects within a fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands-on role managing projects end-to-end from concept and design through to installation, commissioning and handover while maintaining strict environmental, H&S and performance standards.
Salary is £75k, plus car, bonus and pension.
The Role:
* Manage multiple concurrent engineering projects in line with company standards
* Lead tender processes and appoint suppliers, agreeing contracts and terms
* Work cross-functionally with Operations, Technical, Commercial and NPD to define equipment and plant design criteria
* Conduct feasibility studies and engineering design reviews for major capital projects
* Draft and present CAPEX proposals
* Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring works are delivered safely and to specification
* Manage projects across Buildings, Mechanical, Electrical and Process
* Control budgets, spend, purchase orders and invoicing
* Maintain CAD layouts and detailed site documentation
* Support wider engineering and technical challenges across sites when required
Success in this role means delivering projects safely, on time, to scope and budget with minimal disruption to 24/7 operations.
About You:
* Degree-qualified in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Strong hands-on background within a food production or food manufacturing environment
* Proven experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
* Comfortable overseeing contractors within live operational settings
* Experience delivering projects involving M&E services, utilities, new equipment and building works
* Working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
* Proficient in AutoCAD and project management tools
