About this role
The NMGH New Hospital Project Data Strategy & Analytics Lead will develop and execute a hospital‑wide data strategy to enable evidence‑based decision‑making, improve operational efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes across the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics, data governance frameworks, and business intelligence solutions for clinical, financial, and administrative functions.
* Ensure alignment with the Trusts overarching Data Strategy and coordinate with the Director of Data and Analytics to maintain compatibility with Trust‑wide initiatives.
* Establish and oversee data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with wider Trust policy.
* Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and identify and lead pilots to improve data quality and accessibility.
* Evaluate modern data platforms and determine requirements for the project, including cloud‑based solutions and AI/ML capabilities, while monitoring emerging trends in healthcare analytics.
* Provide expert technical support to stakeholders on NHS data standards and guidance, working closely with project stakeholders to review key products.
Requirements
Experience in developing and implementing data strategies within a healthcare setting, strong knowledge of data governance, analytics, and BI solutions, and familiarity with NHS data standards and regulations.
