The organisation provides an effective service in identifying and reclaiming nationwide businesses on a service in recovering their business rates to great success - its a attractive sale. The Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and fostering long-term relationships that drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth. This role involves managing a portfolio of client accounts, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and skilled in communication, with a strong focus on maintaining client trust and achieving business objectives through strategic account management.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact for prospective clients, promoting the business’s services and building strong client relationships until deals are secured.
* Use industry knowledge to negotiate fees that are acceptable to both the business and clients.
* Identify sales opportunities and demonstrate the business’s software products to potential customers in the Rating industry.
* Maintain and grow relationships with Rating Agents to secure audit sales and long-term partnerships, meeting monthly targets.
* Gather and qualify all necessary client business rate records for audits, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
* Accurately update the in-house EMIS system with client and property details to support the sales process and documentation.
* Lead or attend sales meetings with potential clients as needed.
* Stay informed about the business’s products and services through ongoing training and performance reviews.
* Participate in regular sales meetings, contribute to team development, and share best practices.
* Help set, review, and exceed personal and team performance targets (KPIs).
* Align daily work with company objectives and annual business plans.
* Suggest and help implement improvements to sales systems and procedures for greater efficiency and flexibility.
* Mentor, support, and train new team members as a senior staff member.
* Take on additional duties as assigned by the Senior Consultant, as appropriate for the role.
Person Specification
* Self-motivated and energetic, eager to play a key role in the London sales team.
* Sales experience preferred, with adaptability to changing industry and business needs.
* Understanding of the property sector and business rates is an advantage.
* Skilled at building long-term relationships with a diverse client base.
