The agency
This full-service events and communications agency works with well-known global brands, mainly in healthcare and pharma, to deliver various events and experiences. They organize large-scale congresses for thousands and standalone meetings for 500 delegates, with logistically complex elements, working worldwide in fantastic destinations. As they expand globally, they are hiring a New Business Development Director to support their growth strategy.
The role
This highly autonomous yet collaborative role involves identifying and nurturing new business opportunities to increase revenue and enhance the agency's global brand presence. Responsibilities include lead generation, prospecting, qualifying opportunities, presenting credentials, responding to RFPs, leading pitches, and securing contracts. The role involves working with internal and external stakeholders, preparing winning pitch responses, and some travel to events to engage new contacts.
About you
A proven background in new business development within the events, exhibitions, and production industry is essential. Experience in pharmaceutical or Life Sciences events/communications is advantageous but not mandatory. You should have experience managing the entire sales cycle, networking at industry events, and securing new business for an agency.
