Job Purpose
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our famous Marmite site which is now also home of iconic brands, such as Hellmann’s and Colman’s and become part of an enthusiastic and brand-driven team in the Burton-on-Trent Unilever factory.
Responsibilities
We are recruiting Shift Engineers who are specialist on Corrective and Preventative Maintenance, engaged to troubleshoot to fix and improve machine performance. After the breakdown, the engineer will lead the root cause analysis to eliminate the fault by preventive maintenance and recommend design improvements.
Qualifications – Essential
* Minimum NVQ level 3 in Engineering and Post Apprenticeship Skill level
* Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and rectification
* Completion of Preventative and Corrective maintenance tasks
* Automation background (Siemens S5/Siemens S7/Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley).
* Basic knowledge on automation and controls to support troubleshooting.
* Previous experience writing reports.
* Data analysis and office-based skills.
* Root Cause Analysis.
* Decision making – Makes and implements technical decisions which can impact production.
* Focussed Improvement – Ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications – Desirable
* Experience working within a food manufacturing/FMCG factory
* Knowledge & experience of SIMATIC PCS 7
* Knowledge & experience of World Class Manufacturing
* Experience as a team member within a Project Management team, with an awareness of project management tools and techniques
* Programme Logic Control qualifications (Siemens S5/Siemens S7/Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley).
* Knowledge & experience working with utilities / services (including Steam, CIP, Waste-water treatment)
* Knowledge & experience of separation / filtration / evaporation equipment
