Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join our friendly and supportive Residential Property team in Bath. Following another highly successful year, our Residential Property team has achieved over 30% revenue growth, and we are now expanding to build on this momentum. You will be joining a large, high performing team working on your own varied and interesting residential property caseload. We act for a huge range of clients on regular conveyancing matters, as well as more bespoke legal work. You may have an existing client or referrer base that generate your work, but this is very much a bonus rather than a requirement. The size and complexity of your caseload will be tailored to your level of experience and any areas of specialism you wish to develop or continue. We place real value on teamwork, approachability and strong working relationships. As a result, this role is primarily office based, with four days per week spent in our central Bath office. The Team
The Bath Residential Property Team consists of 20 team members, with an almost equal split between fee earners and support staff. Many of the team have been with the firm for a considerable number of years, which genuinely speaks to the close, supportive and close knit culture within the department. In the office the residential team sit with and work alongside our Agricultural team, made up of a further 6 team members. With a team of this size there is a plentiful opportunity to share and receive knowledge, train or be trained as the case may. Typically we work within sub teams, made up of a senior fee earner, paralegal and assistant, although we do have some 'pairs' i.e. traditional one to one fee earner and legal assistant supporting. We also have the benefit of a stand alone completions team. Based on experience and capabilities we can establish who you would work closely with. The department is headed up by and forms a key part of a wider Residential Property business unit, with close links to our residential teams across other offices, there is a headcount of over 80 unit team members. The business unit is headed by Angus Williams.
