A respected and quality focused specialist workshop based in Ivybridge is looking to recruit a VEHICLE TECHNICIAN. The company specialises in the restoration, enhancement, and long‑term care of one of Britain’s most iconic utility 4×4 vehicles, delivering high‑quality bespoke builds, full ground‑up restorations for UK and US markets, comprehensive servicing and repairs, performance engine tuning, and innovative electric conversion projects.
Technicians of all skill levels (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent as a minimum), who are enthusiastic, adaptable, and take pride in their workmanship, will be considered.
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in a varied and engaging range of work, including:
* Mechanical servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and fault finding
* Strip‑down and rebuild activities as part of complete vehicle restorations
* Assembly and fit‑out of bespoke, customer‑specified builds
* Engine, drivetrain, suspension, and brake work
* Supporting specialist projects such as performance upgrades and electric conversions
* Working collaboratively within a skilled, friendly workshop team
