Neurodevelopmental Nurse Practitioner

TheChild and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin have an opportunity for a Band 7 Neurodevelopmental Nurse Practitioner to join the team on a permanent contract in Telford working 37.5 hours per week
In the role you will deliver a high quality, comprehensive neurodevelopmental service for children and young people who require diagnostic assessments for ADHD and/ or Autism.
The role involves managing a caseload with a focus on working with children and young people and their families who require treatment for ADHD.You will provide assessments and interventions for CYP as part of the MDT and act as a non-medical prescriber within the team.
You will complement the multi-disciplinary working of the team, providing supervision for other team members, as agreed with the Team lead. You will participate in team and service development and evaluation and liaise and offer advice and consultation with a wide range of agencies who are central to the role.
Main duties of the job
* The diagnostic assessment of CYP who are requiring Autism and/ or ADHD assessments and managing risks, in accordance with recognised clinical guidance.
* Managing and co-ordinating a caseload of CYP with neuro developmental needs including prescribing and sharing skills within the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
* Supporting and providing leadership on the development of the NMP function within the team.
* Working as part of the MDT and in an integrated way with wider teams and services to meet the needs of the CYP & Families.
* Offering advice, support and supervision to other healthcare professionals including actual and supervisory prescribing.
