Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)
📍 Location: Liverpool (Fully Office-Based)
🕒 Hours: Monday to Wednesday, 24 hours/week
💰 Salary: £18,720 (Pro-Rata of £30,234.24 FTE)
🌴 Holidays: 28 days + Bank Holidays (Pro-Rata)

Role Overview
A well-established organisation in the Liverpool area is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support its finance operations. This part-time role offers a collaborative working environment, flexibility for appointments, and the opportunity to contribute to a busy finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger
* Set up new supplier accounts and manage approval forms
* Raise purchase orders in line with internal processes
* Input invoices with correct coding and match to POs
* Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries
* Reconcile statements and prepare payment runs
* Post direct debit payments
Sales Ledger
* Process new customer account forms
* Monitor credit ratings and produce monthly statements
* Generate aged debtor reports and follow up on overdue accounts
* Allocate customer payments
Staff Expenses
* Maintain mileage spreadsheets and chase paperwork
* Review expenses and input credit card statements
* Manage petty cash and reconcile monthly
Timesheets & HMRC Reporting
* Analyse timesheets and calculate overtime
* Prepare import spreadsheets and submit intrastat reports
General Duties
* Assist with filing, archiving, and ad-hoc Excel reporting
* Provide cover for the second Accounts Assistant when needed
Person Specification
* Experience in a similar finance or accounts role
* Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication skills
* Flexible and team-oriented approach
