We have an exciting opportunity for a Greggs Bakery Assistant. As a Bakery Assistant at Greggs SPAR Porthmadog, you will support the store management team and create a positive customer experience. Your role includes maximising sales and profit by completing assigned tasks, ensuring excellent customer service through ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later, and Food for now!’
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
* Greeting customers warmly and friendly.
* Answering questions about products and assisting customers in finding items.
* Processing purchases efficiently and accurately at the tills.
* Upselling products and highlighting multi-buy offers to maximise sales at our Porthmadog Greggs store.
Store Operations:
* Handling stock, checking deliveries, stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness, and rotating stock for freshness.
* Completing tasks such as date checking, stock and gap checking, price changes, and promotional displays.
* Following all company policies and procedures.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
* Experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
* Reliability and attention to detail in following instructions.
* Understanding of legislative responsibilities in retail.
* Ability to contribute ideas to improve customer service and business growth.
* Experience with ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable.
* Enthusiastic team player capable of working independently.
* Cash handling experience is a plus but not essential.
