We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating exceptional culinary skills and a commitment to food safety. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating delightful dining experiences while leading and inspiring your team.
Duties
* Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends while accommodating dietary restrictions.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste to optimise costs.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Participate in cooking and food preparation as needed, demonstrating hands-on leadership.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, culinary arts, and kitchen operations.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
