We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Primary Care team at HMP Whatton, a category C prison located in Nottinghamshire.

HMP Whatton is a male adult prison with a capacity of 855. The pharmacy team consists of 5 members and will be based within the healthcare department.
Hours:
* Monday - Sunday service
* 37.5 hours per week
* 7.30 - 6.30 Monday - Sunday
* 1 weekend in 5
* 5 week rolling rota
Salary:
This position is full-time, with an annual salary between £33,232 - £40,211 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing outstanding, patient-centered care by listening to and acting on patient feedback.
* Ensuring a safe and secure medicines management service, maintaining patient medical records to the standard, and following SOPs diligently.
* Delivering non-judgmental care within professional standards, including timely medication administration and analyzing cost-effective prescribing as per our medicines policy.
* Working as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to make a real difference.

Minimum qualifications and experience
* NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC, or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up-to-date CPD
* Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently following policies and procedures
Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is desirable but not essential.
