* Ideal role for an advanced CCNA or CCNP level engineer looking to expand knowledge of network, security and cloud technologies.
Job Description
The Network Operations Engineer III will be responsible for supporting CME’s network infrastructure through monitoring, troubleshooting and change implementation using industry standard best practices. It will ensure the ongoing operation of services to end users and customers by operating within agreed service levels and aligning to agreed policies, processes and standards, thereby maintaining overall platform stability and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as first responder, helping to organize and control incident response.
* Day‑to‑day monitoring and management of our platforms to meet internal SLAs, operational KPIs and quality standards.
* Handle complex technical support issues.
* Support network faults across a multi‑vendor, multi‑appliance infrastructure.
* Work closely with other IT teams, vendors and service providers to resolve incidents and service requests.
* Perform day‑to‑day technical operations (including, but not limited to network and firewall troubleshooting, scripting changes, infrastructure and firmware updates).
* Maintain a positive attitude and high customer service standards.
* Contribute to development of operational systems and processes.
* Keep accurate troubleshooting records in industry standard ticketing systems.
* Write technical SOPs and other documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience in a fast‑paced, enterprise NOC role (minimum 2nd or 3rd line experience).
* In‑depth support of LAN & WAN technologies including OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, Layer 2 architectures.
* Exposure to firewalls and load balancing with understanding of security posture and load balancing concepts.
o Security Posture: firewalling, ACLs, industry best practice, internet architectures.
o Load Balancing: F5 LB, iRules, persistence, etc.
* VPN: IPSec and SSL.
* Understanding of wireless technologies.
* Experience with ISO and ITIL standards.
* Experience supporting or working with cloud technologies.
Desirable
* Enterprise R&S certification (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
* Enterprise firewall certification (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).
* Enterprise wireless certification (Aruba, Meraki, etc.).
* Cloud certification (GCP preferred / AWS / Azure).
* Toolset management experience (SolarWinds or similar).
* WCA (Wireshark Certified) or hardware packet capture experience.
* Multicast: PIM‑SM, MSDP, AnyCastRP.
