Our amazing Beverley store is looking to expand its team.
What are the working days/hours?
This role will include working 38.5 hours per week, and weekends are included.
Who are we looking for?
1. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in all areas of fishkeeping, with some previous experience in aquatics and fishkeeping, an enthusiasm for the hobby, and a strong commitment to customer service.
2. They should be self-motivated, positive, and organised, as well as hardworking and enthusiastic to learn.
3. The person we are looking for should be a positive, practical individual who is keen to be part of a strong, happy team of staff who enjoy working in their vocational career.
4. Be outgoing and confident, engaging with customers
5. Keen attention to detail, managing stock merchandising and keeping the presentation of the store tip top
What does the role involve?
6. Aiding in the day-to-day maintenance of the store, including caring for the wide variety of livestock that we carry and serving customers.
7. Delivery of excellent standards of livestock care and store presentation.
8. Greeting and welcoming all our customers in an articulate, approachable, and friendly manner to maintain our high standards of customer care
9. Communicate your fishkeeping knowledge clearly to customers with varying levels of experience and maintain our policy of responsible fishkeeping.
10. Working efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
11. Completing sales correctly and efficiently, ensuring customers leave the store fully satisfied.
12. Getting merchandise out onto the shop floor, organising stock neatly on the shelves and making sure it's correctly priced and available.
Where will you be working?
Our Beverley store is located in Woodmansey Garden Centre, easily accessible by bus, train or car from Hull and the surrounding area. Will be working with an enthusiastic and friendly team of like-minded people with a passion for aquatics and delivering an excellent customer experience
