Operations Manager Hackney Based Full-Time | £60,000 per year | 45 hours/week | Free staff meals & events access
We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join the senior team at this venue, a flagship venue in the heart of Hackney known for its riverside setting, vibrant atmosphere, and cutting-edge music programming.
With a reputation for hosting world-renowned DJs, cultural collectives, and iconic late-night events, this venue is much more than just a bar it's a creative hub and a staple of East London's nightlife. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and understands what it takes to deliver exceptional guest experiences at scale.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daily venue operations and ensure high standards across service, safety, and presentation.
Support the execution of large-scale events and late-night programming.
Lead, train, and motivate bookings & marketing teams as well as the General manager
Manage stock, supplier relationships, and cost control.
With a focus on F&B to review processes, procedures and concepts, identifying new revenue streams and opportunities.
Responsibility for the overall management of the hotel in order to maximise sales and revenue through effectively leading the team and delivering excellent customer service.
Ensuring the service standards are monitored and delivered including, customer satisfaction, product quality and team training and development.
Maintaining cost and productivity controls through establishing standards of output for all business aspects.
Effectively managing the team to provide excellent customer service experiences.
Ensure licensing, compliance, and health & safety procedures are maintained.
Collaborate with programming, marketing, and kitchen teams to maintain brand excellence.
What Were Looking For Proven experience in a senior operations, GM or Ops Manager role within a 700+ Capacity busy bar, venue, or events-led environment.
A passion for nightlife, electronic music, and the culture that surrounds it.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and late nights as required.
Identify and proactively support the development of talented individuals to support area succession plans
Developing an unbreakable bond with clients by ensuring their objectives are identified, managed and exceeded
