Profile -
To provide operational leadership at the plant, working in conjunction with the site
leadership team to drive safety, compliance, staff engagement and best in class performance. To be responsible for the development and consistent delivery and application of operational procedures, safety systems, plant Safety Rules and safe systems of work within the plant.
Some of the responsibilities required-
* To provide strong leadership and guidance to the site team to deliver a best in class operational facility in line with companies behaviours and values.
* To lead the site team in delivering a safety first culture.
* Development and consistent delivery and application of site procedures and systems, including discharge of permit and planning conditions relating to the role.
* Manage, via direct reports, the day to day operation of the plant activities ensuring that all Health and Safety, Environmental, Site Permit, Site Licence, Personnel and other legislation is adhered to.
* To ensure, through constant review, that a cost effective, quality service is carried out identifying opportunities for business improvement, operating within and adhering to the relevant budgets set for the facility.
* The monitoring of all associated running costs and chemicals to ensure effective use of resources, minimise environmental impact and minimise costs.
Requirements -
* Extensive knowledge of the waste, power or energy sectors
* Educated to at least ONC/HNC/HND level, or equivalent, in a relevant technical discipline
* Previous exposure of managing large teams
