There is an exciting opportunity to join a new School of Architecture at the University of Reading, which is committed to an innovative model of architectural education. The School is developing a strong research- and practice-informed education model from the first year to the proposed Masters in Architecture course.
We are seeking to appoint two experienced lecturers with expertise in either History and Theory of Architecture or Representation and Communication (traditional and digital). The successful candidates will support the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, contribute to curriculum development, and teach design in studio.
The School’s vision aligns our education programmes and curriculum with current issues in practice and contemporary research. We seek lecturers who will actively incorporate their research into their teaching to enhance students’ learning experiences, supporting the School’s educational philosophy where the design studio remains the core of practice, teaching, and research.
