Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: Crawley, UK
Employment Type: Permanent, Full‑Time, 40hrs per week (Mon - Fri)

This role covers a wide portfolio of commercial retail premises. You will be responsible for planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdowns, fault‑finding, and minor works across a variety of gas systems and HVAC plant. A fast‑paced, customer‑facing position requiring independent work, compliance and a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out boiler lockouts and resets.
* Diagnose and repair faults on warm air units and radiant tube heaters.
* Identify and resolve leaks on gas pipework or isolation valves.
* Address pilot light and ignition failures.
* Investigate pressure loss or circulation issues in heating systems.
* Rectify gas interlock faults in kitchens or plant rooms.
* Repair faulty thermostats, sensors, and actuators.
* Respond to emergency call‑outs for heating and hot water failures.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Valid commercial gas qualifications (COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1/1A).
* Strong technical knowledge of heating systems, boilers and associated plant.
* Experience within retail, commercial or multi‑site maintenance environments (preferred).
* Ability to manage both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
* Willingness to participate in an on‑call rota (enhanced pay available).
* Full UK driving licence.
