Role: Site Engineer
Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor
Location: Chesterfield
Day rate: £300 - £350 PAYE or Ltd
Randstad are currently looking for a Site Engineer to work with a Tier 1 Contractor on a Highways scheme in Chesterfield. The business are looking for an engineer that is experienced with earthworks and drainage within the highway sector.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols
2. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to coordinate construction activities and resolve any technical issues.
3. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement or optimisation
4. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including site reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings
5. Provide technical guidance and support to site staff, facilitating effective communication and teamwork throughout the project life cycle.
Qualifications:
6. Degree qualified or other relevant qualification
7. SMSTS (Preferred)
8. CSCS Card
