Overview
Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Lecturer in Games Development to join our Slough and Langley College team starting in August 2026 on a permanent, full-time basis.
Responsibilities
* Deliver an outstanding student experience through high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
* Participate in interviewing, enrolment, and induction of students.
* Prepare comprehensive schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment structures.
* Provide continuous feedback, set and monitor personal targets, and deliver academic support or referrals.
* Prepare students for various assessments and examinations.
* Maintain accurate, detailed student records and contribute to curriculum development.
* Engage in promotional activities such as parents' evenings, recruitment drives, conferences, and trade events.
* Deliver teaching as a Tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to students individually and in groups, while maintaining collaborative links with parents and employers.
* Contribute to programme leadership, quality assurance, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental self-assessments.
* Safeguard and promote student welfare; maintain morale and discipline on campus; foster a safe learning environment free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying.
* Work with colleagues to ensure compliance with safeguarding requirements and maintain a safe workplace.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in a relevant subject.
* Level 2 in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent).
* Willingness to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification if not already held.
* Beneficial if you have or have experience with the UAL Creative Media curriculum, alongside an Assessors or Verifiers award.
* Experience in the Games Development industry and a passion for developing future game developers.
* Strong communication, organisational, and collaborative skills to support learners and colleagues.
