SEMH Teaching Assistant working 1:1 with a Year 3 child in a 2 form entry primary school in Welwyn Garden City on an academic year contract.
The Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1 to 1 support for a pupil in Year 3 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to ensure the pupil has the necessary support to access learning and participate in social situations across the school. Your responsibilities will include assessments and providing regular feedback. A confident, positive, and resilient approach is required.
You will also be required to support across the classroom as needed.
