Join TUV SUD as a Shift Technician
TUV SUD is looking for a dedicated Shift Technician to join our team amid ongoing business growth. Working within a team of technical technicians and engineers, you will perform RF (Radio Frequency) testing in our state-of-the-art test facility in Segensworth, Fareham.
This role involves contributing to a rotating shift pattern to support 24/7 testing operations. The shift schedule includes rotating between two shifts (10am-10pm or 10pm-10am) on a 4-shifts-on, 4-shifts-off basis.
Initially, training will be provided on a Monday-Friday schedule, 37 hours per week, from 8:30am to 5:00pm, before transitioning to the shift rotation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Participate in delivering test services within a 24-hour, 7-day shift pattern, conducting RF tests according to harmonized standards (such as ETSI and FCC) or specific customer test plans in our RF test facilities.
2. Monitor and control the calibration status of test equipment during testing.
3. Engage with customers during attended testing sessions.
4. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
5. Record results precisely following company quality procedures and communicate findings clearly at shift end.
Experience and Qualifications

* Educated to NVQ level 3 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or possess practical engineering experience.
* Willing to learn about RF technologies, including Cellular technologies like 2G/3G/4G LTE/5G NR.
* Motivated and enthusiastic.
* Proficient with IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Conscientious, with strong interpersonal, customer service skills, and commercial awareness.
* Capable of documenting results accurately.
* Prepared to work in a team on 24/7 shifts performing RF testing with automated scripts.
* Able to access the site independently, as public transport may be limited due to shift timings.
* Experience with RF test equipment is a plus but not essential.
