* THE ROLE
* The post holder will work with academic staff and students to ensure the effective provision and availability of specialist equipment and work areas in order to facilitate academic delivery, student learning, research (including recording practice-based research outputs) and knowledge exchange activities across the School of Arts and Humanities.
* ABOUT YOU
* You will provide leadership in technical support within the specialist area of audio technology, encompassing the use of specialist equipment, hardware, and software. This includes managing associated staff (including part-time staff), co-ordinating with fellow technicians as necessary, and overseeing asset management and PAT testing to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
* You will provide technical demonstrations and instructions in the specialist area of audio technology to students as part of a timetabled activity so they are able to develop concepts and designs through to fully realised outcomes.
* You will collaborate with fellow technicians elsewhere in the School, Faculty, and University, and support the development of best-practice protocols for the management, maintenance, and usage of specialist audio technical resources within the School (including the specialist software provision).
* You will contribute to the development (specifications) and configuration of studios and associated practical (e.g. performance tuition) spaces, prepare any materials, equipment, or spaces as required for scheduled demonstrations, taught sessions, performances or events.
