The Service Desk Operator will provide support and assistance to all staff acting as the first point of contact regarding all ICT related incidents, requests and queries. You will be part of a Service Desk team carrying out duties which including classifying, logging and performing 1st line diagnostics across all technologies such as password resets, hardware problems and application issues. Liaising with 2nd line support for more complex issues, being a point of contact for incidents and problem management is also part of the role.

You must have good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. Good analytical skills with a structured & methodical approach are essential to ensure customers issues are resolved in a quick and timely manner.

As a Service Organisation, IT Service Management is key to delivering success and customer value, so having a good understanding and some experience with these processes (e.g. Change Management) is desirable.

You need to have a University degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field and/or 1 years' experience equivalent in a service desk role. ITIL foundation certification is desirable.
