A Vacancy at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The Trust wishes to appoint an ambitious and motivated individual on a permanent basis to support operational management within the Surgical, Women’s and Neonatal Services (SWNS) Division, which employs about 1,000 staff and oversees services including Theatres, ITU, Surgical Specialties, Fertility, Maternity and Neonatal.


Responsibilities

* Provide general operational management and business support to the Trauma and Orthopaedics, Podiatry, ITU and Medical Secretary departments.
* Supervise the divisional secretariat team and deliver first‑line operational management to outpatient, inpatient and administrative services.
* Work with the divisional management team, Associate Medical Director, Divisional Operations Director, General Manager, Head of Nursing and Head of Midwifery, and clinical staff to achieve performance and clinical targets.
* Collaborate with Service Managers and clinicians to ensure consistent quality services across specific clinical areas.
* Establish systems and processes for robust reporting of governance, risk and safeguarding issues in partnership with the Divisional Quality and Risk Manager.
* Manage designated financial resources within the allocated budget and support financial management at the division level.
* Support the development of service line reporting and service line management across the division.


Qualifications and Requirements

* Previous operational management experience is essential.
* Ability to work closely with senior clinicians and manage performance against a range of standards.
* Strong strategic planning and financial management skills.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
