Pertemps Bristol is recruiting for a Fabricator / Welder for one of the nation's leading generator hire company based in BS30, Warmley. This company specialize in providing reliable, sustainable power solutions for various sectors, such as construction/infrastructure, electrical contractors and utilities, and various other applications.
1. £31,500-£34,000 per annum based on experience
2. Monday to Friday role, 8am-5pm ( 40 hours per week )
3. Asap start, following interview process

Job responsibilities:
7. Full production of sheet metal fabrication– measuring, cutting, folding, welding, fitting, etc.
8. Fabrication of steel sheet and sections, thickness from 1mm to 10mm.
9. Operation and programming of machinery such as guillotine and press brake.
10. Metalwork, i.e. cutting and folding metal to create components.
11. Soundproofing units.
12. Stripping out generator parts from containers and possibly fabricating new parts if damaged.
13. Manual cutting with Plasma and Flame cut methods.
14. Using own initiative to complete off-spec jobs, e.g. fixing damaged metal work.
15. Liaise with other fabricators/staff to ensure optimum production efficiency and effectiveness are achieved.
16. Use of appropriate handheld and powered tools and equipment to carry out the tasks set.
17. MIG Welding sheet metal from 1mm to 15mm, sections from 3mm to 15mm.
18. Maintain a clean and orderly workplace environment compatible with an open workshop facility
19. Liaison with staff, supervisors and management to ensure parts availability is appropriate for the required tasks
20. Provide general assistance in the yard, including loading and offloading materials and equipment (after the forklift licence has been taken).
21. Comply with all aspects of the company quality management procedures (ISO 9001:2015), environmental management standards (ISO 14001: 2015) and the ISO 45001:2018 Health & Safety standard, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.
Skills and requirements:
22. General engineering background
23. Strong sheet metal fabrication experience
24. Using own initiative to complete off spec jobs
25. Accurate measurement skills
26. Attention to detail and good hand/eye co-ordination to achieve high quality work
27. MIG welding experience
28. Reliability, good communication skills and teamwork ability
Desirable
29. Experience of CNC machine operation
