Job responsibilities
The Service & Team:
Our health visiting and school nursing services operate across six localities within Cornwall, covering areas from the border with Devon, such as Bude, Launceston, Liskeard, down to Helston and Penzance.
Most teams are based together with Early Help and Social Care colleagues, sharing electronic records to enhance communication and coordination. We deliver an evidence-based, family-centered public health service focused on identifying health needs and vulnerabilities within families and communities.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our innovative and collaborative service, aimed at meeting the needs of local communities and improving outcomes for children and young people in Cornwall and IOS.
The course adopts a family, child, and workplace-centered public health approach, working with individuals, families, and populations to improve health and address health inequalities. It requires working within a dynamic socio-cultural and service context, networking, and developing services in partnership with service users, professionals, and voluntary sectors. You will learn to lead, assess, collaborate, evaluate public health services, and take responsibility for their safe and effective management.
