As the Head of Conference and Banqueting Operations, your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests needs, however you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing):
1. Developing and implementing a C&B strategy for our large C&B department – consisting of various meeting rooms and banqueting spaces of up to 600 seated for dinner.
2. Managing and organising the C&B team, ensuring that we are fully covered at the times we need to be and working with a largely part-time team.
3. Ensuring IHG standards are being met throughout the events taking place in the hotel, whilst also guiding the team through the transition to InterContinental by ensuring the team are trained where they need to be and that the brand standards are being met.
4. Working closely with the other F&B managers throughout the hotel to pursue an aligned approach across the wider F&B function.

* Availability to work 40 hours per week (5 shifts) across a variety of shifts based on business needs.
* Experience leading a busy C&B department within a similar size and style of property, with in-depth experience of leading a team of mostly part-time colleagues.
* A thorough knowledge of C&B standards, with the ability to create and strategise to ensure the C&B function presents itself strongly within the Hotel.
* Experience working within a branded property would be a bonus, as we are embarking on a transition to become an InterContinental branded 5-star property by 2027.
* Passion for C&B and flexibility in approach to adapt your time and approach to each individual client's needs.
