Application Solution Architect
Supply Chain IT – Commercial Distribution & Logistics
Day Rate: £550 - £575
Location: London (Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Application Solution Architect to lead the architecture of our end-to-end supply chain application landscape. This role will provide architectural oversight across core systems and establish the foundational architecture documentation required to support ongoing transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and document the end-to-end supply chain application landscape, including ERP, planning, logistics, and quality systems
* Provide architectural oversight for Oracle Cloud ERP changes, ensuring alignment with overall supply chain architecture
* Lead architecture governance activities, including preparation of architecture decision records (ADRs) and submissions to the Architecture Review Board
* Evaluate new applications, providing structured solution assessments, options analysis, and recommendations
* Support the design and business case for a temperature management solution to replace manual processes
* Develop and maintain architecture views supporting enterprise data initiatives, including the CMC Data Tower
Required Experience
* Proven experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect with strong application/domain focus
* Deep understanding of ERP systems within a supply chain environment
* Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes (planning, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, quality)
* Experience producing architecture documentation and presenting to governance boards
* Ability to map complex systems, data flows, and integrations
* Experience within pharmaceutical or life sciences environments (GxP/GDP understanding)
* Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate)
Desirable
* Experience with Oracle Cloud SCM modules
* Familiarity with planning tools such as Anaplan
* Knowledge of serialization, temperature management, or quality systems (e.g., Veeva)
* Experience working in low-maturity or greenfield environments

* Establish and formalise the supply chain application landscape
* Assess Oracle Cloud ERP changes related to TMS implementation and their wider impact
