Job Description
3. Preparation and review of quarterly and annual consolidated financial accounts for the Group which includes in excess of 50 subsidiary companies, many of which are overseas, and preparation/review of statutory notes and disclosures.
4. Processing of consolidation journals for the quarterly and annual consolidated accounts.
5. Assisting in the creation of appropriate schedules for quarterly reporting, for example cash flow statement workings, investments, goodwill, covenants and KPI's.
6. Assisting in producing the intercompany matrix and helping group financial accounting to monitor intercompany indebtedness between group entities and resolving any differences.
7. Assisting in the preparation and review of commentaries, graphs and ratios in the quarterly and annual group consolidated accounts.
8. Assisting in the preparation and review of statutory accounts for some centrally maintained companies.
9. Preparation and review of intercompany accounts
10. Providing guidance to group entity accountants on group quarterly reporting and consolidation.
11. Supporting external audits, such as preparing information for audit queries.
12. Providing support to the group reporting team
The Successful Applicant
A successful Consolidations Accountant should have:
13. A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
14. Strong knowledge of financial consolidations and reporting standards (e.g., IFRS or UK GAAP).
15. Experience with financial systems and consolidation tools.
