We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisors to join our team, providing high-quality classroom supervision across secondary schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) area.
Location: Various Secondary Schools across the RCT area
Contract: Flexible Basis, Part-Time & Full-Time Available
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a productive and engaging learning environment for secondary aged students in the RCT area while their subject teacher is absent. Your responsibilities will include:
* Classroom Management: Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring that students are engaged in their learning activities.
* Supporting Learning: Providing assistance to students during lessons and addressing any questions they may have.
* Maintaining Discipline: Upholding the school's behaviour policies and ensuring a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Adaptability: Successfully stepping into the shoes of absent teachers, maintaining continuity in education.
Key Requirements:
* Educational Background: A degree in Education or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
* Experience: Prior experience in classroom management, teaching assistance, or youth engagement is desirable.
* Flexibility: Open to working on a flexible basis, both part-time and full-time, as well as being able to choose your working days.
* Vetting Procedures: All candidates must have or be willing to process an Enhanced DBS and EWC registration. Teaching Personnel can support these applications.
* Strong Communication: Effective communication skills to engage students and collaborate with school staff.
* Passion: A genuine passion for education and a desire to inspire and support students in their learning journey.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
