Job Overview:We are seeking Technician 1 resources to provide desktop hardware installation services. This role involves basic technical tasks to support service delivery, including unboxing and installing equipment, connecting peripherals, and performing initial power-on tests.Location: Cardiff CF10 4BZRate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £ (PAYE) OR £ per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrellapany).Contract Duration: 30 March 2026 – 30 Sept 2026Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 09:00 – 17:30 (4 days per week)Key Responsibilities:
1. Unbox and install desktop hardware at designated desks.
2. Connect peripherals and cables (, power and network).
3. Perform power-on self-tests and basic checks.
4. Initiate automated builds and simple scripted post-login configurations.
5. Follow structured workflows and instructions accurately.
6. Maintain proper documentation and ensure secure handling of equipment.
Key Requirements:.
7. UK Full manual driving licence.
8. Upkeep of system records, primarily within ServiceNow.
9. Strict adherence to all procedures, scripts, and policies is essential.
10. Flexibility with working days may be required (minimal and with prior notice).
